The Bohemians increased their league unbeaten streak to five games Saturday, as Kingsley Onwuka's brace and a late winner from Austin Martz edged Baltimore past F.A. Euro, 3-2, at Paul Angelo Russo Stadium.
The visitors signaled their first intent after ten minutes, as Jonah Willams struck a free kick just wide of the far post from 35 yards out. After 33 minutes, F.A. Euro got on the board first after a defensive miscue led to Alagie Janneh picking up the ball just outside the box and slotting it home past Bohs keeper Daniel Sheerin.
Five minutes later, the Bohs equalized on a near carbon-copy of the Euro goal. Kingsley Onwuka stole the ball off of a Euro defender, freeing up space and curving to the right of goalkeeper Eric Orologio, before tapping in a sitter from five yards.
Baltimore found themselves a man down six minutes after the restart, as Marquez Fernandez was sent off after picking up a second yellow card. On 66 minutes, F.A. Euro regained the advantage, as a cross from Jacob Love found Jason Lampkin at the far post, who directed a header from five yards out past Sheerin.
Onwuka was called into action again seven minutes later, as he picked up the ball outside the 18-yard box, paused, and curled a shot into the top-right corner of the net, admiring the flight of the ball all the way as it cracked the mesh past a frozen Orologio.
Baltimore looked for a winning strike as the match drifted into the final five minutes. A pass from Malcolm Harris was weighted perfectly to Austin Martz, but Orologio was equal to the task, tipping the shot out of harm's way. As the first minute of stoppage time clicked over, Melvin Snoh and Kingsley Onwuka forced a fine double save out of the Euro keeper, keeping the score knotted at 2-2.
The breakthrough finally came in the fifth minute of added time, as Snoh slipped a pass to Martz, who nearly copied the trajectory of Onwuka's second strike, sailing the ball into the top right corner from the edge of the box, sending the Baltimore bench and the crowd into hysterics.
Baltimore (4-2-2) continues their four-game homestand on Wednesday against the Ocean City Nor'easters.
